Another Saturday, another home search on HGTV‘s House Hunters. On July 5, at 10 PM ET/PT, the episode titled A Salon to Dye for in Florida takes us to Ft. Lauderdale, where a couple is trying to find a new beachside property. The twist? They also need enough space to operate their hair salon out of the new digs.
The challenge, as it often is on House Hunters, comes down to differing tastes. One half of the couple is looking for something with a bit of whimsy and character, a place that stands out. The other prefers a cleaner, more streamlined midcentury modern aesthetic. Finding a common ground between those two visions, while also factoring in the business needs, will surely make for some typical TV home-buying drama.
The series continues to deliver on its core idea: showing the ups and downs of real people buying real estate. It’s a formula that works, mainly because it taps into the universal experience of home-seeking, complete with budget constraints, wish lists, and the inevitable compromises.
