House Hunters scores a first down in Texas with this week’s episode, airing Saturday at 10 PM ET on HGTV. Touchdown Payment in Texas hits on all the familiar beats of the real-estate stalwart, with an added dose of sports rivalry—this time, played out in living rooms across Dallas.
A couple with intertwined careers in sports circles has put their wedding plans on hold to tackle the even trickier business of buying their first house. And, like in most episodes, consensus isn’t exactly at the top of the agenda. She’s set on a traditional two-story Colonial. He’s got a quarterback coach’s schedule—translation: no time for reno projects—and wants a Ranch-style spot that’s ready to roll.
Fans know the drill: the back-and-forth between wants and needs, compromise and exasperation—all leading to the eventual white-knuckle choice. Given that both halves of the couple seem pretty set in their design preferences, the agents may be earning their commission on this one.
