Houses of Horror: Secrets of College Greek Life Premieres August 12 on A&E

The A&E docuseries “Houses of Horror: Secrets of College Greek Life” will premiere on Monday, August 12, at 9 PM ET/PT.

The series explores the dark underbelly of fraternity and sorority life at some of America’s top universities, exposing the impact of power, control, and secrecy on young men and women involved in Greek Row.

Each episode features first-hand accounts of how the dynamics of fraternities and sororities can lead to an environment where nefarious activities, from drug use to sexual assault, are allowed to thrive. Through exclusive interviews with former Greek life members, family, law enforcement, and experts, the series details the far-reaching consequences of these organizations, which can turn dangerous and even deadly.

The episodes include:

University of Missouri – A pledge is hazed and forced to drink excessive alcohol, leading to a near-fatal outcome.

University of Minnesota – A junior fights back and takes on the Greek system after being brutally raped by a fraternity brother.

San Diego State University – A shocking set of overdose deaths reveals a darker side to Greek life.

University of Alabama The episode focuses on “The Machine,” a group steeped in racist traditions of the Old South.

The six-part series will also include interviews with former Greek life members, family, law enforcement, and experts, highlighting the power dynamics, secrecy, and impact of fraternities and sororities on young individuals.
