Hulu has commissioned a new limited series, ‘Untitled Murdaugh Murders’, a dramatic retelling of a family tragedy. The series will feature Emmy and Academy Award-winning actress Patricia Arquette, who will play the role of Maggie Murdaugh.
The show is created by Michael D. Fuller, known for his work on ‘Quarry’, ‘Rectify’, and ‘Locke & Key’, alongside Erin Lee Carr, the filmmaker behind documentaries such as ‘Britney vs Spears’ and ‘I Love You, Now Die’. It is inspired by the true story of the Murdaugh family, a legal dynasty from South Carolina, and the mysterious deaths and criminal activities associated with them.
The narrative is based on extensive reporting by journalist Mandy Matney, who hosts the ‘Murdaugh Murders Podcast’, and her exclusive access to the family’s inner circle. Arquette, who previously worked with Hulu and UCP on the well-received series ‘The Act’, will be joined by executive producers Nick Antosca, Alex Hedlund, and Mandy Matney.
‘Untitled Murdaugh Murders’ is produced by Eat the Cat for Hulu, with Nick Antosca, Alex Hedlund, and Mandy Matney serving as executive producers.
