Hulu is loading up on international suspense with new conspiracy thriller The Kollective, dropping Tuesday, June 10, with all episodes available at launch. The streamer is leaning into prestige Euro-noir with a cross-border storyline that spans Budapest, St. Petersburg, and London—and a young, untested team of journalists at its core.
The series follows a group of citizen reporters whose investigation into a mysterious tragedy spirals into a dangerous hunt for the truth. As their reporting uncovers a global network of corruption and rogue state actors, the stakes—and the body count—escalate fast.
The cast includes Halo’s Natascha McElhone, Warrior Nun alum Celine Buckens, Felix Mayr, Gregg Sulkin, and Grégory Montel. The directing team is led by Assaf Bernstein (who also executive produces), with Randa Chahoud also behind the camera. Leonardo Fasoli and Maddalena Ravagli, who both worked on Gomorrah, wrote the series alongside co-EP Ed Hemming.
Shot across multiple countries and backed by a heavyweight coalition of European partners, The Kollective comes out of a deal between Submarine and A+E Media Group, with further support from Rai Fiction, ZDF, and France Télévisions. Producers include Femke Wolting, Patrick Vien, Alexandra Finlay, Hannah Dal Pozzo, Andreana Saint Amour, Andrea Ozza, Frank Seyberth, Laura Mae Harding, Manuel Alduy, Morad Koufane, and Pascale Deschamps.
Behind the scenes, the visual design is handled by Alexei Tylevich, with Robrecht Heyvaert serving as lead DP.
