The Secret Life of Dancing Dogs” is a new six-part docu-series produced by ABC News Studios and premiering on Hulu on Friday November 17. The series explores the world of dog dancing, also known as “Heelwork to Music,” where people choreograph dance routines with their canine partners. The performances are judged based on criteria such as musical interpretation, choreography, and the bond between handler and dog.

The series follows seven women from different parts of the world and their dogs as they prepare to compete at Crufts, the world’s preeminent dog dancing competition in England. Viewers will witness the ups and downs, laughter and tears, as the cast goes through national qualifiers, faces fierce rivalries, deals with personal traumas, and undergoes rigorous training to prepare for the ultimate competition.

The cast includes Lorna Syrett and her border collie Nora from the United Kingdom, Gina Pink and her working sheep dog Swagger from the United Kingdom, Christine Bérczes and her Australian shepherd Meredith from Hungary, Marianne Elise Methi and her border collie Vega from Norway, Jennifer Fraser and her Australian shepherd Daiquiri from Canada, Sachiko Kuniyoshi and her border collie Alena from Japan, and Isa Randle and her chihuahua Lucky from the United Kingdom.

The series will be available for streaming on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ in the United Kingdom and select other territories starting on November 17. It will also be available internationally on Disney+ in the UK, Ireland, Balkans, Canada, South Africa, Singapore, and the Philippines.
