The tangled webs woven on I Love a Mama’s Boy are rarely pretty. This week’s episode, “Why, Why, Why, Why, Why?!”, looks to be no exception, as it sets up a series of potential explosions primed to detonate right in our faces. Honestly, who needs fireworks when you’ve got these families?
First up, we have Dia venturing into the lion’s den (or, more accurately, Nylah’s birthday party). This has all the makings of a classic Mama’s Boy disaster. One can only imagine the forced smiles, the under-the-breath comments, and the general air of simmering resentment. It seems inevitable that some sort of familial drama will erupt.
Meanwhile, Matt, bless his heart, is making a secret decision that he knows will devastate Kelly. Knowing this show, the decision could be anything from buying a new brand of mayonnaise to booking a one-way ticket to Mars. Whatever it is, you can bet Kelly will find a way to make it seem like the end of the world.
Over in the Sunshine State showdown, Janelle and Tina continue their eternal conflict over the potential move to Florida. Seriously, they could open a beachfront timeshare with the amount of back-and-forth happening here. One almost admires their commitment to this particular brand of interpersonal warfare.
And let’s not forget Kris, who’s about to discover Austin’s been house-hunting with his mom. Again. I’m not saying I’m hoping for a good, old-fashioned, furniture-throwing argument, but I’m not not saying it either. Kris tends to react…intensely…to Austin’s mama’s-boy tendencies, so things could get loud.
