iHeartMedia’s “The Breakfast Club” to air on BET

Today, BET and iHeartMedia unveiled a partnership that will add “The Breakfast Club,” hosted by DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God on Power 105.1 in New York, to BET’s 2023 schedule. Starting Monday, BET will air a special hour-long episode of “The Breakfast Club” each morning at 7:00 AM. Entertainment news and conversations will be sprinkled with The Breakfast Club’s trademark mix of honesty and humour in these specials, and The Breakfast Club’s legendary interviews with celebrities, artists, and thought leaders will be featured prominently. Beginning Monday, April 17 at 9 AM ET, millions of viewers can tune in to the wildly popular, culture-shifting morning programme on BET and VH1. Every Sunday, you can watch the entire week’s episodes on BET+.

For the first time since “106 & Park” in 2014, BET is creating daily content with “The Breakfast Club on BET.” It’s also a big deal because it’s the first time the company has ever appeared on midday television.

The broadcast radio edition’s signature segments, such as the Front Page News, the Rumor Report, and Charlemagne’s Donkey of the Day, will be featured in every installment of “The Breakfast Club on BET,” as will interviews with A-list celebrities.

Hip-Hop/R&B morning program, “The Breakfast Club,” has become a cultural rallying cry for its informative and entertaining content. Guests on the show have included former President Barack Obama, current President Joe Biden, and VP Kamala Harris, as well as musicians and celebrities like Jay-Z, Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar, Kevin Hart, Snoop Dogg, Future, 50 Cent, Lizzo, Will Smith, and Alicia Keys. The morning show is broadcast on more than a hundred stations across the country, including major areas like Houston, Atlanta, Miami, and Detroit, and is produced at iHeartMedia’s legendary Power 105.1WWPR-FM in New York. The Radio Hall of Famers also present a three-hour weekly programme called “Weekends with The Breakfast Club,” in which they count down the week’s top 20 songs.
