Imperfect Murder: Guitron (Crime & Investigation, 19 June 2024)

True Crime Time

An upcoming episode of the documentary series Imperfect Murder explores the tragic case of Juan and Sergio Guitron, two brothers who fell victims to a case of mistaken identity. The episode airs on Crime & Investigation on Wednesday, 19 June 2024, at 8:00 PM.

The episode examines the events that led to the deaths of Juan and Sergio Guitron. On Thanksgiving Day in 2010, Michael Keetley, an ice cream truck driver in Florida, approached a group of men, including Juan and Sergio, in search of someone he believed was responsible for a previous attack on him.

Keetley had been robbed and shot months earlier, and in a fit of misguided revenge, he ordered the group of men to lie on the ground before shooting them. Juan and Sergio were killed, and four others were injured in the horrific incident.

The investigation uncovers that months prior, Keetley had been robbed and shot, and he believed that Juan and Sergio were involved. However, this was a case of mistaken identity, as the actual perpetrator was someone known as “Creeper.” The episode explores the aftermath of the shooting and the impact it had on the victims’ families and the community.

The episode also examines the legal proceedings that followed, with Keetley found guilty of two counts of murder and four counts of attempted murder. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, bringing some sense of justice to the grieving families.
