This Saturday on National Geographic Wild’s “Incredible Northern Vets,” prepare for a mix of heartwarming animal care and cultural immersion. The episode, “Major Problems,” follows three Indigenous veterinarians working in unique clinics across three Canadian provinces as they face a range of challenges, both big and small. For one little puppy, the problems are indeed “major,” requiring serious medical intervention to give the pup a fighting chance.
Elsewhere, Dr. A tackles a persistent infection, using her skills and experience to bring relief to a patient. But the episode isn’t all medical procedures. We also get a glimpse into the personal lives of these dedicated vets, as Dr. A learns a traditional jig, demonstrating the series’ commitment to the cultural context of these communities.
Tune in to National Geographic Wild this Saturday, March 8th at 10:00 PM ET/PT.
