Interview with the Vampire Season 2 Premieres May 12 on AMC

BBC Two acquires AMC Networks' Interview with the Vampire Series Starring Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid

The awaited second season of “Interview with the Vampire” premieres tonight on AMC. Airing at 9 p.m., the new season explores the second half of Anne Rice’s 1976 novel. Consisting of eight episodes, it will run weekly until June 30, 2024.

The first season, which garnered critical acclaim and multiple award nominations, introduced audiences to the intricate relationship between the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) and his maker and lover, Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid). It skillfully set the stage for the introduction of the teenage vampire Claudia (Bailey Bass), whose presence further complicated the dynamic between Louis and Lestat.

In Paris, new entanglements arise as Louis and Claudia encounter the Vampire Armand (Assad Zaman), leading to a courtship and love affair that will have significant repercussions. Meanwhile, journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) finds himself drawn further into the vampire’s web, grappling with memories of his interview with Louis in 1973.
