Alec Mercer usually has all the answers. The behavioral science expert on NBC’s The Irrational uses his uncanny insights into the human psyche to solve the unsolvable. This week, however, the case of a missing tennis star takes him deep into unfamiliar territory — both literally and figuratively. As Mercer searches for the athlete in a remote forest, a medical emergency of his own threatens to derail the entire investigation.
Suddenly, the man who decodes everyone else’s behavior has to confront his own vulnerability. With Mercer sidelined, his team, Marisa and Rose, step into the spotlight.
