ITV is reorganising its entertainment strategy with a three-channel shuffle that puts quiz fans and reality obsessives front and center. The broadcaster is rolling out ITV Quiz, shutting down ITVBe, and supercharging ITV2 with some of its most recognizable unscripted titles.
ITV Quiz bows Monday, June 9, and will be dedicated to the UK’s long-running obsession with game shows and quizzes. Expect staples from across the ITV archive along with fan-favorite franchises already in rotation.
To make room, ITVBe is being decommissioned, with its biggest reality hitters—including The Only Way Is Essex and The Real Housewives of Cheshire—moving over to ITV2. The move effectively consolidates ITV’s reality portfolio under one roof, giving ITV2 a clearer brand identity and a ratings-friendly lineup heading into summer.
Love Island and Big Brother will also stay put on ITV2, returning in Summer and Autumn 2025, respectively. Streaming performance on ITVX backs the decision: Love Island and its spinoffs have racked up 2.2 billion streams, while Big Brother has passed 100 million since its 2023 relaunch.
Elsewhere, The Only Way Is Essex celebrates its 15th anniversary with a special Autumn 2025 run back on ITV2, its original home for the first 12 seasons. The show continues to perform on streaming, with 66 million streams logged in the past year.
Scripted comedy and factual entertainment aren’t going anywhere—originals like G’Wed and Transaction will remain on ITV2, alongside staple imports like Family Guy.
Also locked in for ITV2: Sam & Billie: Sister Act, reuniting Sam Faiers and Billie Shepherd in the former’s first TV project since 2021.
The refresh caps a strong quarter for ITV2, which pulled ahead of Channel 4 in the 16-34 demo during Q1 2025.
