Premiership Rugby has extended its broadcast partnership with ITV for another two years, securing free-to-air coverage for seven Gallagher Premiership Rugby matches, including the final.
This deal also introduces a rebranded highlights show, Gallagher Premiership Unleashed, set to air on Wednesday evenings, providing a comprehensive round-up of the 2024/25 season.
The extension follows a record-breaking 2023/24 season, with the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final achieving the highest peak audience ever for a Premiership match on ITV. The final garnered an average audience of 1.2 million across ITV and TNT Sports, capturing 14.3% of the UK’s television audience during the event.
ITV’s coverage of the 2024/25 season kicks off on October 5 with Bath Rugby hosting Bristol Bears in a West Country derby. Other confirmed matches include Leicester Tigers facing Gloucester Rugby on October 19, and the iconic Harlequins ‘Big Game’ against Leicester Tigers on December 28.
The final three broadcast fixtures will be announced later in the season, concluding with the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final on June 14, 2025.
All ITV-broadcast matches will be simulcast on TNT Sports.
