ITV has announced the promotion of Callum Dziedzic to Drama Commissioner. He will report to Polly Hill, ITV’s Director of Drama.
Here’s the Lowdown: Dziedzic, previously Assistant Commissioner, Drama and Comedy since January 2023, will now work alongside Polly Hill and Huw Kennair-Jones on ITV’s drama slate. He has been involved with shows like Code of Silence, Karen Pirie, and Grantchester.
What This Means Now: This internal promotion shows ITV’s commitment to developing talent within its ranks. Dziedzic’s previous experience positions him well to contribute to ITV’s future drama output.
The Bigger Picture: ITV Drama has had a successful start to 2025, with Unforgotten being the most-watched returning series and Playing Nice the most popular new drama. Dziedzic has said he will champion “more fresh voices and unexpected perspectives in drama”. ITV is currently recruiting for a new Assistant Commissioner, Comedy and Drama, to fill Dziedzic’s previous role.
