ITV is set to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its popular daytime quiz show, The Chase, with a special episode airing this September. This BAFTA award-winning format combines a quiz with a race against the clock, challenging contestants to outsmart one of the country’s top quiz brains, known as the chaser.
Hosted by Bradley Walsh, the show features contestants answering general knowledge questions and using tactics to reach the Final Chase, where they can win a significant cash prize. The chasers, the stars of the show, include Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan, and Darragh Ennis. Labbett and Wallace have been part of the show since its inception, while Hegerty joined in the second series, Sinha in the fourth, Ryan in the ninth, and Ennis in the thirteenth.
To mark this milestone, The Chase will air a special anniversary episode on Monday, September 2nd, at 5 pm on ITV1. In this unique episode, a team of four contestants will face off against two chasers, doubling the challenge and the potential for excitement. Will the contestants prevail or face double the trouble?
