IVF Series Big Miracles Premieres February 6 on Channel 9

When the new series Big Miracles begins on Monday 6 February at 9.00pm AEDT on Channel 9 and 9Now, Australian viewers’ hearts will be captured by a show filled with hope about one of the most dramatic human experiences of all time: attempting to have children.

One of life’s most significant accomplishments is having children, and many people’s deepest desire is to start a family.

This moving series about the ultimate quest to create new life is narrated by one of Australia’s most well-known and successful cinema and theatre actresses, Lisa McCune.

Through Big Miracles, we are taken on a personal and profoundly moving journey. Ten courageous Australian couples and individuals are followed as they experience the highs and lows of attempting to conceive using in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and other forms of assisted reproduction technology (ART) in the face of staggering odds.

All the while, we see the miracles being performed by the physicians, nurses, and scientists who are working tirelessly to make parents’ wildest baby dreams come true.

Around 1 in 6 Australian couples will struggle with infertility each year. Many people, from women with endometriosis to men with low sperm counts to same-sex couples who rely on surrogacy, have this condition. More people are turning to highly trained reproductive specialists than ever before in order to start a family.

To get through the physical, mental, and financial roller coaster of trying to become parents, these couples and individuals must rely on hope and pure resolve while the specialists rely on cutting-edge science and technology to turn pregnancy fantasies into reality.

The series is produced by Ronde Media for the 9Network.

Big Miracles Premieres Monday 6 February 2023 at 9.00pm on Channel 9.
