Channel 5

The Grand Tour host James May will embark on a new adventure for Channel 5, retracing the footsteps of some of history’s most famous explorers. The three-part series, titled The Great Explorers with James May, will see the presenter follow in the paths of Christopher Columbus, Sir Walter Raleigh, and Captain James Cook.

Each 90-minute episode will focus on one iconic explorer, examining their well-known expeditions and revealing lesser-known facts about their lives. “We all think we know the basic pub facts about these three great men, but the reality may come as a bit of a surprise” said May.
