Joe Manganiello, the host of CNBC’s Deal or No Deal Island, is set to appear on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Manganiello will discuss the upcoming second season of the Deal or No Deal spinoff, which sees contestants attempting to locate hidden briefcases across a tropical island. While the original Deal or No Deal offered a straightforward, if somewhat anxiety-inducing, game of probability, the island iteration throws in a scavenger hunt element, perhaps hoping to capture some of that Survivor magic.
The Jennifer Hudson Show isn’t limiting itself to just one dose of game show host charisma. Actress Tiffany Boone, known for her work in Hunters and Little Fires Everywhere, will also be on the show to discuss her role in the animated prequel Mufasa: The Lion King. Boone provides the voice of young Sarabi in the origin story of the iconic lion king. While the original Lion King certainly tugged at the heartstrings, this prequel seems intent on doubling down on the emotional backstory, which, let’s be frank, wasn’t exactly thin on the ground in the first place.
Shifting gears from the glitz of Hollywood, Jennifer will also welcome Ladia Yates and 10-year-old Zamira Bankhead from L.Y.E. Academy in Memphis, Tennessee. Yates, the founder of the academy, created an organization dedicated to fostering female leadership and empowerment through mentorship and education. This segment will offer a refreshing change of pace from the usual celebrity fare, giving a platform to the kind of real-world heroes often overlooked by the entertainment industrial complex.
