Jennifer Hudson Show Week of November 25, 2024: John Legend, Muni Long, Beverly Hills Housewives

So, Jennifer Hudson’s throwing an R&B party. Fine. John Legend’s a reasonable choice, dusting off “Get Lifted” for its 20th anniversary. Muni Long, fresh off those Grammy nominations, will also grace the stage. But let’s be real, the real draw here? Six-year-old Tatum and her dad Jay Galberth, back for more cuteness overload. One wonders what surprise JHud has up her sleeve for these two. A pony? A lifetime supply of Lunchables? A duet with Legend? The suspense is palpable.

Tuesday offers a different kind of spectacle. The Beverly Hills Housewives descend en masse. Dorit, Garcelle, Kyle, Erika, Sutton, and newcomer Bozoma. Potential drama alert. Following that, Marvin Sapp, gospel music icon, is expected to bring a dose of serenity with a performance of “Never Would Have Made It.” One can only hope his soothing presence lingers.

Wednesday offers a glimmer of actual intrigue with Cynthia Erivo discussing the long-awaited “Wicked” movie. A “magical music moment” with Erivo and Hudson is also on the docket. Let’s hope it involves actual magic and not just some off-key harmonizing. The Phelps twins, Harry Potter’s Weasley brothers, will also be there to hawk their Food Network show Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking, which takes place on actual Harry Potter film sets.

Thursday is a rerun. Need I say more? Joel McHale was there in September, so unless you’ve been living under a rock – or simply value your time – you’ve seen it already.

And Friday? Pre-empted so go for a walk and burn off some of those Thanksgiving calories.

This week on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” is a bit of a hodgepodge. Some music, some housewives, some magic, some reruns, and some preemptions. You make the call if any of that is worth your time.

The Jennifer Hudson Show airs weekdays in syndication. Check your local listings.
