Jeopardy! Masters Games 3 & 4, ABC, May 6, 2024
Jeopardy! Masters returns with Games 3 & 4, airing on ABC, as part of the ongoing tournament featuring six of the game’s top competitors. The episode promises two action-packed and high-stakes games that will impact the standings and the eventual path to the semifinals.
The “Jeopardy! Masters” tournament is a special event featuring six of the game’s top competitors. Following a round-robin format, the contestants play against each other in a series of quarterfinal games, with the top four advancing to the semifinals. The winner of each game receives three points, the runner-up receives one point, and the third-place finisher receives no points.
In the first two games, Victoria Groce, Matt Amodio, and Mattea Roach faced off in Game 1, with Groce dominating and securing a runaway victory. In Game 2, James Holzhauer, Yogesh Raut, and Amy Schneider competed, with Raut pulling off an impressive runaway win.
The contestants for Games 3 and 4 include returning champions and fan favorites. James Holzhauer, the self-proclaimed “final boss,” will be looking to rebound from his third-place finish in Game 2. He will face off against Mattea Roach, the youngest super-champion in “Jeopardy!” history, and Matt Amodio, who holds the record for the third-longest winning streak.
In Game 4, Victoria Groce, the winner of the first-ever “Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament,” will compete against Yogesh Raut, the most recent Tournament of Champions victor, and Amy Schneider, a 40-game champion. With their eyes on the grand prize of $500,000 and the coveted Trebek Trophy, the contestants will need to bring their A-game and showcase their trivia prowess.
The Jeopardy! Masters tournament has been highly anticipated, bringing together some of the most notable champions from the show’s recent history. The contestants include James Holzhauer, the returning champion; Mattea Roach, the youngest super-champion; Matt Amodio, with the third-longest winning streak; Amy Schneider, holding the second-longest winning streak; Yogesh Raut, the 2024 Tournament of Champions winner; and Victoria Groce, the winner of the inaugural Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament.
The show is hosted by Ken Jennings, himself a legendary Jeopardy! contestant, and airs on ABC at 8:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2024.
