The highly anticipated “Jeopardy! Masters” tournament continues on ABC on Wednesday May 8, with the six highest-ranked “Jeopardy!” contestants facing off in a series of intense and action-packed games. In “Games 5 & 6”, viewers will witness the thrilling battle of wits between Amy Schneider, James Holzhauer, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, Andrew He, and Sam Buttrey as they get closer to the grand prize of $500,000 and the coveted title of “Jeopardy! Masters” Champion.

Hosted by the legendary Ken Jennings, this latest iteration of America’s Favorite Quiz Show® promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. With each episode showcasing two fast-paced and high-stakes games, fans can expect a night filled with excitement and nail-biting moments.

Game 3 Recap: The third game of the quarterfinals saw a highly anticipated rematch between James Holzhauer, Matt Amodio, and Mattea Roach. Matt started strong, picking up $5,000 on a Daily Double and leading after the Jeopardy! round. However, James doubled up on two Daily Doubles in the Double Jeopardy! round to take a massive lead going into Final Jeopardy.

The Final Jeopardy! category was “20th Century Leaders,” and the clue was: “1 of the ‘Big Four’ at the 1919 Paris Peace Conference & a former journalist, he’d supported the Impressionists & Alfred Dreyfus.” All three contestants responded correctly, with James taking the game and earning 3 points, bringing his total to 4. Matt finished second, adding 1 point to his total.

Game 4 Recap: The fourth game featured a battle between two newcomers, Victoria Groce and Yogesh Raut, along with Amy Schneider. Yogesh dominated the game, doubling up on a Daily Double early in the Double Jeopardy! round and maintaining a strong lead going into Final Jeopardy. All three contestants responded correctly to the clue under the category “World Heritage Sites,” but Yogesh’s runaway lead secured him the win and 3 points. Amy finished second, earning 1 point.

With these results, Victoria and Yogesh are now tied for first place with 6 points each, followed by James with 4 points, and Matt and Mattea with 1 point each. Amy remains in sixth place with 0 points.

The quarterfinals will continue on May 8, with the top four contestants advancing to the semifinals.
