Jeopardy! Monday June 3, 2024, Recap, Winner and Final Answer

Who Won Jeopardy! and Final Answer

In the Monday June 3 episode of Jeopardy!, three contestants put their knowledge to the test: Carol Ritchey, a retired letter carrier from Eastpointe, Michigan; Matthew Kahn, an IT docketing assistant from San Diego, California; and Adriana Harmeyer, an archivist from West Lafayette, Indiana. Adriana entered the game as a three-day champion with total winnings of $71,600.

The categories for the first round included Historical Documents, You Had One Job!, Bestselling Books by Decades, Around New York, 2+2=1, and Classic Song Numbers. Carol added $2,500 to her score with a correct response to the first Daily Double in the category Historical Documents.

At the first break, Adriana led with $2,800, followed by Matthew with $3,000, and Carol with $3,200. Adriana extended her lead by the end of the round, entering Double Jeopardy! with $6,600, while Matthew had $5,200, and Carol had caught up with $7,900.

The categories for Double Jeopardy! were Bodies of Water, Humanitarians, Animal, Vegetable, or Mineral, Celebrity Lifestyle & Beauty Brands, Aviation History, and Starts with “J.” Adriana made a bold move by wagering $4,000 on the second Daily Double in the category Starts with “J,” correctly responding to the clue.

However, Carol took a significant risk by wagering $7,600 on the third Daily Double in the category Bodies of Water but unfortunately provided an incorrect response, narrowing the gap between her and Adriana.

As the game progressed, Adriana maintained her lead, entering Final Jeopardy! with $22,600, followed by Matthew with $6,000, and Carol with $5,900. The final category was Colleges, and the clue pertained to one of the Seven Sisters colleges located in a place of the same name, the farthest south.

Unfortunately, all three contestants provided incorrect responses to the Final Jeopardy! clue. Matthew knew the correct answer, “What is Bryn Mawr?,” but was ruled incorrect due to an incomplete response, which, fortunately, did not impact the outcome of the game.

Adriana emerged as the winner, adding $20,200 to her previous winnings, resulting in a four-day total of $91,800. Matthew finished in second place with $4,000, and Carol came in third with $100.
