On the latest episode of “Jeopardy!”, three new contestants took center stage to showcase their knowledge and quick thinking. Ryan Alcorn, a product manager from Needham, Massachusetts, Tim Keily, a search and rescue pilot from Sitka, Alaska, and Amar Kakirde, a graduate student and three-day champion from Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey, all vied for the top spot.
The first round categories included Bestsellers, Where Is That?, My Job Is Beach, Sports Awards, Nonpotent Potables, and “V”-8. Amar Kakirde, who had already accumulated winnings of $41,399 over his three-day champion run, started off strong but encountered a setback at the first Daily Double. The clue, related to Jon Krakauer’s bestselling book, led to a loss of $1,000, placing him in second place behind Tim Keily at the first break.
However, Amar Kakirde quickly regained his momentum in the Double Jeopardy! round. With categories such as The 17th Century, You Can’t Get Any Further North, Hey Baby, What’s Your Science?, At the Museum, Name the Celebrity, and “Y” in the Middle, Amar successfully answered both Daily Doubles, pulling ahead of his competitors with a substantial lead of $16,000. Ryan Alcorn and Tim Keily trailed behind with $7,200 and $5,000, respectively.
The Final Jeopardy! category, Female Singers, posed a challenge that none of the contestants could answer correctly. Despite Amar Kakirde’s incorrect response, he strategically wagered only $1,500, securing his victory with a final score of $14,500. Tim Keily and Ryan Alcorn finished with $2,749 and $7,200, respectively.
Amar Kakirde’s four-day total winnings now stand at an impressive $55,899. The episode also highlighted some trivia that stumped the contestants, including references to popular songs, classic films, and 90s comedy icons.
