Three-day champion TJ Fisher secured a fourth consecutive win on Tuesday’s episode of Jeopardy!, extending his total winnings to $76,524. Fisher, a marketing specialist from San Francisco, once again established a runaway lead before Final Jeopardy, rendering the last clue a formality.
The challengers were Claudine Lewis, an elementary school teacher, and Slade Gilmer, a paint quality team member. Fisher took an early lead, holding $8,200 entering the Double Jeopardy! round against Claudine’s $4,600 and Slade’s $2,800. The game briefly tightened after Fisher incorrectly answered a Daily Double about U.S. cities, dropping his score by $3,500. He recovered quickly, however, and built an insurmountable lead by the end of the round.
The Final Jeopardy! clue, under the category SCIENCE RECORDS, read: “It was introduced in 1992 & the record 43.3 was set in the high Andes, where stratospheric ozone levels are naturally low.” None of the three contestants could correctly identify the UV index.
With his victory already guaranteed, Fisher wagered a minimal $200. His final score for the day was $16,600, bringing his four-day total to an impressive $76,524.
