On Thursday, the Jeopardy! stage hosted three new contestants: Fr. Steve Jakubowski, a Catholic priest originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan; Jen Feldman, a high school teacher from Brooklyn, New York; and Chris Lindsay, an attorney from Carmel, California, who entered the game as a one-day champion with winnings of $11,600.
The first round categories included “Birthstones,” “Art & Artists,” “Bugging Out,” “Fix the Proverb,” and “Memory.” Fr. Steve Jakubowski took an early lead, with a score of $2,400 at the first break, followed by Chris Lindsay at $3,800 and Jen Feldman at $1,200.
As the game progressed into Double Jeopardy!, the categories shifted to “Does Anybody Have Any Change?,” “U.K. Cities,” and “Cats’ Songs.” Chris and Fr. Steve both encountered challenges, missing out on Daily Double questions. This allowed Jen Feldman to make a remarkable comeback, rallying from last place to take the lead with a score of $9,800 heading into Final Jeopardy!.
The category for Final Jeopardy! was “New York Movies,” and the clue read: “Frank Sinatra got upset that a photo of him caught fire in a Brooklyn pizzeria in this film.” Jen and Chris provided the correct response, identifying the film as “What is Do the Right Thing?”
Despite their correct answers, Jen’s strategic wagering paid off. She bet $4,000, while Chris took a smaller risk with a wager of $1,601. As a result, Jen emerged victorious with a total of $13,800, while Chris finished with $10,801 and Fr. Steve with $99.
