Jeopardy! Tuesday October 1, 2024, Recap, Winner and Final Answer

Jeopardy! Ken Jennings

Tuesday’s episode of Jeopardy! featured three new contestants: Mike McComb, a project manager from Dearborn, Michigan; Brooke Levine, a workforce manager from Old Bridge, New Jersey; and Ryan Manton, a systems administrator from Columbus, Ohio, who was a one-day champion with winnings of $22,178

The categories for this episode included 19th Century Culture Trip, Lunar Features, Toys & Games, Airports, Name the Classic Band: A Reading, and Familiar Phrases. As the game progressed into Double Jeopardy!, new categories were introduced: Sir Walter Raleigh, Avian Poetry, The Name Game, Film-Pourri, America the Beautiful, and “C” to Shining “C”.

Mike made a bold move in the first round by wagering on a Daily Double question in the Lunar Features category, but unfortunately, he lost $1,000. Despite this, Ryan maintained a strong lead throughout the game.

In Double Jeopardy!, Ryan’s strategy paid off as he correctly responded to a Daily Double question in the Film-Pourri category, betting $5,600 and advancing his score to $14,400. Mike, on the other hand, missed both of his Daily Double opportunities.

As the game reached the Final Jeopardy! round, the category was revealed as Sitcoms with “the first British sitcom to win a Best Comedy Golden Globe, it was remade in a U.S. version that had almost 15 times as many episodes.” Mike and Brooke provided correct responses of “What is The Office?,” but Ryan, who had chosen not to respond, still held a significant lead with $21,600.
