Who Won Jeopardy! and Final Answer

Contestants on the Thursday June 13 episode of Jeopardy! were Mike Flanagan, a non-profit executive from Winchester, Massachusetts; Hakme Lee, a scientific instructional technician from Seattle, Washington; and Adriana Harmeyer, an archivist from West Lafayette, Indiana, and an eleven-day champion with total winnings of $258,700.

The categories in the Jeopardy! round were SAINTLY U.S. CITIES, FROM A TO Z, VIVA LAS VEGAS RESIDENCIES, 19th-CENTURY NEWSPAPERS, RECITING POETRY, and RHYME TIME. The first Daily Double was in the SAINTLY U.S. CITIES category, where Hakme lost $1,000.

At the first break, Adriana led with $1,000, followed by Hakme with $800, and Mike with -$400. Adriana extended her lead by the time they entered Double Jeopardy!, with a score of $2,800, compared to Hakme’s $2,000 and Mike’s $400.

The categories for Double Jeopardy! were SECRETARIES OF DEFENSE, COMPETITORS, PULITZER PRIZE-WINNING BIOGRAPHIES, SCIENCE FOR “U,” FEATURE FILM DEBUTS, and FOREIGN WORDS & PHRASES. Mike, who had been catching up, encountered the second Daily Double but lost $2,000, reducing his score to $4,800 against Adriana’s $9,200.

Adriana then found the third Daily Double and added $3,000 to her total of $10,400, while Hakme had $6,400. Despite Adriana’s consistent lead, her modest wagers kept the game competitive going into Final Jeopardy!, with scores of $15,800, $9,200, and $4,400 for Adriana, Hakme, and Mike, respectively.

Hakme finished with $6,200, and Mike with $5,126.
