“Jeopardy!” Wednesday April 30 Recap: Ben Ganger Wins Again

Jeopardy! Ken Jennings

Ben Ganger, the data analyst from Goshen, Indiana, continued his winning streak on “Jeopardy!” Wednesday night, demonstrating a knack for both knowledge and strategic wagering. Ganger, who won $24,999 in his first appearance, added another $16,816 to his total, bringing his two-day winnings to a healthy $41,815.

Wednesday’s challengers, Roni Ackner, a product manager from Brooklyn, New York, and Jordan Stefanski, a psychiatric nurse from Dunellen, New Jersey, faced an uphill battle against the returning champion. While both Ackner and Stefanski had their moments, Ganger maintained control throughout much of the game.

A key turning point came in the “RELIGION” category, where Ganger found the first Daily Double. He confidently wagered $2,800 on a clue about The Book of Mormon. The gamble paid off, doubling his score and giving him a significant lead. Ackner had a chance to make up ground with her own Daily Double, but her incorrect response related to taking the veil halted any momentum she had gathered. Ganger further solidified his advantage with another successful Daily Double wager in “LITERARY CHARACTERS.”

Going into Final Jeopardy!, the category was “BUSINESS & TELEVISION.” The clue, focused on the animated series “The Flintstones,” was answered correctly by both Ganger and Stefanski. However, Ganger’s wager of $716, combined with his substantial lead, secured his second victory. Ackner finished with $1,600, while Stefanski ended the game with $1,000.
