Sony Pictures Television has struck a multi-year deal that finally brings Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! to national streaming platforms, setting up next-day availability on both Hulu and Peacock beginning this fall.
The move marks the first time current-season syndicated episodes of the two game show stalwarts will be widely accessible on-demand, a play aimed at broadening reach and courting a younger demo. Under the agreement, new episodes will drop on Hulu (including Hulu via Disney+) and Peacock the day after their linear broadcast. The pact also unlocks access to deep catalog titles, spanning legacy seasons and former hosts.
Sony’s deal comes as the studio navigates an ongoing legal fight with CBS, which it sued in October 2024 over allegedly improper distribution practices in both U.S. local markets and international territories. That litigation remains unresolved, but the Hulu-Peacock arrangement is understood to operate separately from the traditional syndication pipeline.
The next-day rollout puts fresh episodes of Jeopardy!—anchored by Ken Jennings—and Wheel of Fortune, hosted by Ryan Seacrest alongside longtime co-host Vanna White, in front of streamers for the first time. With both Hulu and Peacock leaning heavily on unscripted, library-driven content, the deal folds two of television’s most enduring IPs into their respective ecosystem plays.
While the game shows remain staples on Game Show Network, this wider play gives Sony a stronger foothold in the streaming market and opens up the potential for broader international distribution via Hulu’s and Peacock’s respective parent companies, Disney and NBCUniversal.
