Paramount+ has announced that Jermaine Fowler will star opposite Tracy Morgan in the new comedy series, Crutch, a spin-off of the long-running sitcom The Neighborhood. Developed by Owen Smith, who will serve as showrunner, the series centres on Francois “Frank” Crutchfield, a celebrated Harlem shop owner, played by Morgan.
Fowler portrays Jake Crutchfield, Frank’s highbrow son, an Ivy League-educated lawyer who returns home to provide low-cost legal aid in Harlem instead of accepting a high-paying position at a prestigious law firm.
Crutch is executive produced by Cedric the Entertainer, Eric C. Rhone, Owen Smith, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, and Tracy Morgan. The series is produced by CBS Studios and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
