The quirky U&Dave comedy game show Battle In The Box, hosted by Jimmy Carr, appears unlikely to return for a second series. Reports suggest the programme, which debuted last summer, is currently “being rested” by the channel.

Teams, including pairings like Joe Swash & Seann Walsh and Katherine Ryan & Tom Rosenthal, started in an empty box divided by a movable wall, armed only with a toothbrush. They competed in challenges to win items and, crucially, more floor space by pushing the dividing wall into their opponents’ territory. Other competitors included Guz Khan, Rachel Parris, Ellie Taylor and Jamie Laing.
What This Means Now: According to a source cited by The Sun, “no more series are planned for now.” While the show was part of UKTV’s channel relaunch efforts last year, conversations about a second series are reportedly not happening at present. The door isn’t completely closed, however, with the source suggesting it “could return sometime in the future.”
