Jimmy Kimmel Live! Welcomes Kerry Washington, Jimmy O. Yang, and The Red Clay Strays

Jimmy Kimmel Live Key Art

So, another Wednesday night, another round of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. This time, the guest list looks like a decent mix, at least on paper. Kerry Washington is stopping by to talk about Tyler Perry’s new Netflix film, The Six Triple Eight. This one tells the true story of a battalion of Black women serving in World War II, facing a mountain of backlogged mail and, one assumes, more than their share of prejudice. It’s Perry, so expect some dramatic moments and, hopefully, some recognition for a story that deserves to be told. Check out the teaser trailer below.

Then there’s Jimmy O. Yang, showing up to plug his new Hulu series, Interior Chinatown. Based on Charles Yu’s novel, the show follows a background actor stumbling upon family secrets within a cop show setting. Yang’s usually good for a few laughs, so hopefully, he’ll have some entertaining anecdotes about the show’s production, or maybe just some amusing observations about Hollywood’s peculiar ways. There’s a trailer for you to have a gander at below.

Rounding out the evening’s entertainment is country rock band The Red Clay Strays. Whether their music fits your taste or not, it’s always a plus when late-night shows feature live music, so kudos to Kimmel for that.

Tune in to ABC at 11:35 p.m. EST this Wednesday, November 13, 2024, to see how it all plays out. Will Kimmel manage to avoid any cringe-worthy moments? Will Washington offer any insights beyond the usual promotional talking points? Will Yang steal the show with his dry wit? Will the Red Clay Strays make you a fan? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
