Is it just me, or does Jimmy Kimmel’s guest list sometimes feel like a random name generator threw up on a whiteboard? This week, airing January 27-31, is no exception. We’ve got a Tony-winning actress, a former Beatle, a guy from “It’s Always Sunny,” a pop star who may or may not still be relevant, and, uh, Pamela Anderson. Sure, why not?
Kicking things off on Monday, Cynthia Erivo, currently greenified in “Wicked,” graces the stage. Following her is Sean Evans of “Hot Ones,” which makes one wonder if Kimmel’s taste buds can handle the heat. Country singer Riley Green rounds out the evening, presumably to soothe any lingering burns.
Tuesday brings us Ringo Starr, who, at this point, is less a musician and more a cultural artifact – though his new single “Look Up” suggests he’s still trying. Then there’s Noah Centineo from Netflix’s “The Recruit.” Singer Nessa Barrett also performs.
Wednesday sees Rob McElhenney, the mastermind behind “Mythic Quest,” stopping by. One can only hope he shares some behind-the-scenes anecdotes about Danny Pudi’s elaborate dance routines or Charlie Day’s descent into madness. Katy Perry is also on the bill and Simple Minds provides the music.
Thursday’s lineup is where things get truly bizarre. Pamela Anderson is promoting her movie “The Last Showgirl,” which has been garnering more than a few critical plaudits. Will Sasso, of “MADtv” fame, joins the fray. And The Weeknd is also on the show.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST on ABC.
