Comedian Joe Lycett continues his quest to put Birmingham “back on the map” – all of them, that is. This Tuesday, “Joe Lycett’s United States of Birmingham” takes us to the American Midwest, where Joe’s mission to befriend residents of every US town sharing his beloved city’s name continues.
In Birmingham, Iowa, he finds unexpected artistic inspiration related to “American Gothic,” while in Birmingham, Missouri, he immerses himself in the world of competitive barbeque, joining a team as they prep for a major showdown in Kansas City. His aim is to forge “Friendship Agreements” with each town.
It’s all part of his plan to bring his newfound American Brummie friends back to his Birmingham for the grand culmination: International Day of Birmingham. Tune into Sky Max Tuesday, May 6th at 9:00 PM GMT.
