The final episode of “Joe Lycett’s United States of Birmingham” finds Joe in Birmingham, Alabama, the largest of the American Birminghams on his transatlantic tour. Airing at 9:00 PM GMT, the episode finds Joe immersing himself in the city’s rich history, from its industrial roots to its pivotal role in the Civil Rights movement.
Along the way, he samples some local soul food with a fellow comedian, providing ample opportunity for Joe’s signature wit and observational humor. The episode also features Joe taking the stage at Birmingham’s oldest comedy club, where he reflects on his journey across the United States. He even celebrates the newly-minted International Day of Birmingham, a holiday of his own creation.
