Junior Bake Off: Bread Day with Pirate-Themed Challenges (Channel 4, Wednesday, January 8, 2025)

“Junior Bake Off” sets sail for Bread Day, and things are about to get nautical. Sixteen young bakers return to the tent, ready to face the yeasty challenges ahead. Host Harry Hill, ever the purveyor of puns, presides over the proceedings, while judges Ravneet Gill and Liam Charles offer their expert critiques.

The Technical challenge takes inspiration from Rav’s signature skull and crossbones design, no doubt pushing the young bakers to their decorating limits. The Showstopper challenge raises the bar even higher, tasking the contestants with creating the “world’s biggest baddie” entirely out of bread. One can only imagine the monstrous creations that will emerge from the ovens. Expect doughy villains, crusty pirates, and perhaps even a bread kraken or two.
