So, Kaley Cuoco walks into her hotel room, stark naked, ready for a little post-shower hair care, and what does she find? A dude. Just chilling. This isn’t the setup for some raunchy sitcom, but apparently real life, as Cuoco recounted on Tuesday’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” Promoting her latest project (season 2 of comedy crime thriller Based on a True Story), Cuoco instead delivered a story so bizarre it left even the unflappable Meyers momentarily speechless.
The incident itself sounds like something straight out of her series “The Flight Attendant.” Butt naked, blow-dryer roaring, she glances in the mirror only to see a random male hotel employee just… there. Apparently, he was as surprised as she was, offering a hasty apology before making a swift exit. Cuoco, understandably, was left trying to process what she’d just witnessed.
Initially, she tried to bury the memory, chalking it up to a weird dream or something. But then, backstage at “Late Night,” the sight of a blow-dryer triggered what she described as a full-blown “PTSD” reaction. And that’s when she knew: this story was too good (or too horrifyingly awkward) not to share. The resulting on-air retelling had Cuoco questioning if the whole thing was real or “fake,” like some elaborately staged bit. Meyers, ever the comedian, chimed in with a joke about NBC orchestrating the whole thing for a viral moment. Check out the interview below.
Late Night with Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35/11:35c on NBC.
