Wednesday’s edition of The Kelly Clarkson Show is a classic example of daytime TV’s grab-bag approach, and there is something to be said for the sheer variety on display. Willie Geist, host of NBC’s Sunday TODAY, drops by for a chat. His presence gives the episode a slightly more serious bent, which is immediately balanced by the rest of the guest list. Actors Luke Kirby and Gideon Glick will also be on hand.
From there, the show takes a few delightful detours. First, there’s a segment on Syd’s Book Shack & Boutique, another nod to small businesses that has become a staple of the program. Then, things get downright adorable with a visit to the Fort Worth Zoo to meet its new baby flamingos. If that wasn’t enough of a tonal shift, food writer Alyse Whitney stops by to demonstrate how to make chopped cheese queso, a dish that sounds both artery-clogging and delicious.
The musical performance for the day comes from country artist Parker McCollum. Kelly will kick things off with a fresh Kellyoke performance of “White Lies.” It’s a wildly eclectic mix of news, theater, cute animals, and food.
The Kelly Clarkson Show airs weekdays in syndication. Check local listings for time and channel.
