In a world where the lines between truth-seeker and target blur, Channel 4 presents “Kill List: Hunted By Putin’s Spies.” This two-part documentary follows the chilling real-life story of Christo Grozev, a Bulgarian journalist whose investigation into the Kremlin’s clandestine operations takes a dangerous turn.
What begins as an investigation into Putin’s machinery of power transforms into a desperate fight for survival as Grozev finds himself on a kill list, forced to flee his home and become the hunted.
As Grozev investigates those who want him dead, the film also follows a defector from Russia’s poison program seeking refuge in Europe with his family. In another thread of international intrigue, the documentary provides access to Evgenia Kara-Murza, wife of imprisoned Russian opposition leader Vladimir Kara-Murza, as she works tirelessly to free her husband from a treason trial.
“Kill List” weaves together these stories of bravery and resilience against a backdrop of political maneuvering and international espionage. Both Part 1 and Part 2 air Thursday, 27 March, starting at 10:00 PM on Channel 4.
