Oxygen’s true crime series Kill or Be Killed presents an episode titled “Kill Thy Neighbour,” airing on Saturday, April 6. The programme delves into the tragic case of Hector Campos, who fatally shot his neighbour, Ana Weed, following a dispute over their properties and Weed’s small dog.
Campos took Ana Weed’s life after an argument on their property line. Weed’s family and neighbours paint a picture of a friendly woman who got along with everyone except her shooter. They describe a history of problems and animosity between the two, with Campos blaming Weed for the disappearance of his wife and child.
Campos, claiming self-defence, alleged that Weed assaulted him and that he felt threatened by a roll of tape she was holding. However, witnesses refute this, stating that Weed was shot while walking away with her dog in her hand.
The shooting occurred on 24 January 2017, in the 3400 block of Mourning Drive in Spring, Texas. Campos was charged with murder and was handed down a sentence of 45 years.
