On Saturday night’s Investigation Discovery’s Killer Chemistry focuses on the murder of 38-year-old Tiffany Maher, a well-liked assistant chemistry professor at Northeastern State University. Her body was discovered in her Tahlequah home on May 31, 2013, shocking those who knew her.
Maher was a charismatic educator, known for her fun approach to teaching, and was considered a role model by her students. However, her life took a tragic turn when she was bound, strangled with a pillowcase, and her house set on fire. The investigation into her murder uncovered a hidden online life, including dating profiles on Plenty of Fish and OKCupid, which led police to the perpetrator, Joshua John Schneider.
Schneider, a 35-year-old man from Broken Arrow, met Maher online less than a month before her death. He was later charged with first-degree murder, arson, and larceny. One of Maher’s friends, Heather Black, had her own experience with Schneider, dating him in 2013 after meeting online.
Killer Chemistry: New airs on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 10:00 PM on Investigation Discovery.
