The Killer in My Family returns on Saturday night with an examination of Mark Latunski, a 53-year-old man found guilty of first-degree murder. In December 2019, Latunski lured Kevin Bacon to his Bennington Township home, where he committed a heinous crime. Bacon was reported missing by his father on Christmas Eve, sparking a search by friends and family.
This episode examines the disturbing details of the case, including the discovery that Latunski stabbed his victim in the back and engaged in acts of cannibalism. The episode also looks at Latunski’s subsequent sentencing: life in prison without parole for the murder, and an additional 11 to 120 months for mutilation of a body.
