The animated antics of “Krapopolis” return to FOX this Sunday with an episode aptly titled “Ty Big Fat Greek Wedding.” As Ty prepares to say “I do,” pre-wedding jitters take on a whole new meaning when he starts having second thoughts, not about his bride, but about the impending familial chaos that’s sure to erupt. An escape plan starts to look awfully tempting.
While Ty contemplates ditching his own nuptials, Stupe seems to have found a kindred spirit in her future uncle-in-law, a development that’s likely to add fuel to the already combustible family dynamics. And Shlub, never one to miss a chance to shine, gets ready to bust a move (or several) in his “dancing horseshoes.” One can only imagine the spectacle.
With a title that clearly spoofs the hit film “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” the episode sets the stage for plenty of cultural references and over-the-top humor. “Krapopolis,” with its voice cast of Hannah Waddingham, Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, Pam Murphy, and Duncan Trussell, excels at blending ancient Greek mythology with modern-day dysfunction.
