In the seventh episode of Lady in the Lake, titled “My Story,” airing on Apple TV+ on August 23, 2024, Maddie encounters resistance as she attempts to spin Cleo’s story.
The episode is set in the city of Baltimore in 1966, where the disappearance of a young girl captures the attention of the city and brings the lives of two women together on a fateful and tragic collision course.
Maddie, played by Natalie Portman, is a housewife who yearns for a career as a journalist. When she becomes intrigued by the disappearance of Cleo, a young woman from Baltimore, she decides to take on the role of an unofficial investigator and begins spinning a story about Cleo’s life and the mysterious circumstances surrounding her disappearance. However, her efforts are met with resistance from those around her, who question her motives and the accuracy of her narrative.
The cast also includes Moses Ingram, and Y’lan Noel.
