In this instalment, airing on More4 on Sunday 21 April, the Coniston Mountain Rescue Team receives an urgent call about a paraglider who has crash-landed at the top of Great How Crag, potentially suffering from paralysing neck injuries. The race is on to reach the injured paraglider and provide critical care.

Meanwhile, another team faces a different kind of emergency as they search for a missing man in the flooded tunnels of a disused quarry at Hodge Close. With time ticking, the rescuers must navigate the treacherous conditions to locate the missing person.

The episode highlights the diverse range of incidents that the Lake District Mountain Rescue Association responds to, showcasing the dedication and expertise of its 400 volunteers. From paragliding accidents to missing persons, the team is on call 24/7 to assist anyone in need.
