AMC+ invites viewers to Scribbly Gum Island this Sunday with the premiere of “The Last Anniversary,” a new mystery drama based on the best-selling novel by Liane Moriarty, the author of “Big Little Lies.” When Sophie Honeywell inherits a seemingly idyllic house on the island, she quickly discovers that her newfound paradise comes with a hefty dose of family secrets.
Starring Teresa Palmer as Sophie, the series follows her as she unravels the mysteries surrounding the Honeywell women, spanning three generations. The idyllic island setting becomes a backdrop for a tangled web of relationships, long-held grudges, and shocking revelations.
From the producers of “Big Little Lies” and “Nine Perfect Strangers,” “The Last Anniversary” aims to capture the same blend of family drama, mystery, and dark humor that made Moriarty’s novels so popular. With a supporting cast that includes Miranda Richardson, Danielle Macdonald, and Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, the series has all the ingredients for a compelling, twisty tale. New episodes will be available weekly on AMC+.
“The Last Anniversary” premieres Sunday, March 30th on AMC+.
