Late Night Is Back From Monday October 2

Late-night television returns next week as Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, and John Oliver announced through a post on the Strike Force 5 X (aka used to be Twitter) account. The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Late Night With Seth Meyers will all premiere new episodes on Monday, October 2. Last Week Tonight With John Oliver will be back on Sunday, October 1.
In their post, they thanked the listeners and expressed gratitude to their team, special guests, and even apologized to Conan O’Brien for the mishap regarding the podcast. The post also hinted at the continuation of a few more episodes.
Real Time With Bill Maher will also resume airing on Friday, September 29, following the end of the strike.
The writers’ strike, which began on May 2, led to the temporary hiatus of late-night shows. However, the strike officially ended on Wednesday, September 27, at 12:01 am PT, after the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) reached a tentative deal on Sunday, September 24. While the ratification vote is yet to be held (which it will be from October 2 to 9), writers are allowed to return to work in the meantime.
