Wednesday on Late Night with Seth Meyers, it’s a meeting of the minds, or at least a meeting of folks with interesting projects to promote. Pamela Anderson, whose career has defied categorization and conventional wisdom, stops by to chat about her latest movie The Last Showgirl. Whether the conversation focuses on Anderson’s memoir, documentary, or this new movie, there’s bound to be some compelling anecdotes and some awkward tangents about things that publicists probably wish she wouldn’t talk about.
Following Anderson’s appearance will be Rose Matafeo, who will discuss her new comedy special Rose Matafeo: On and On and On. While the “on and on” part of the title might seem a tad ominous for a comedy special, Matafeo’s brand of self-deprecating humor and sharp wit tends to land more than it misses. It’s a toss-up whether Meyers will lean into her New Zealand roots or stick to more universal comedic territories, but either way, the pairing of these two comedic sensibilities could yield some amusing results.
