Jean Smart joins the show to discuss her role in the HBO Max comedy-drama series Hacks, for which she has received critical acclaim and won several awards, including Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe Awards. Jonathan Bailey, known for his roles in Bridgerton and theatre, joins the show to discuss his performance in the 2023 American historical romance political thriller television miniseries Fellow Travelers. The series, based on the 2007 novel of the same name by Thomas Mallon, centres on the decades-long romance between two men, Hawkins Fuller (Matt Bomer) and Timothy Laughlin (Bailey), who first meet during the height of McCarthyism in the 1950s. Bailey’s performance in the series earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series.
